Granted, this movie isn’t new. It was released in 2006, but it’s still worth watching. The beginning reminds me of Saw, but the plot isn’t the same at all. I LOVE the cleverness of the plot and the ending, as well. You’ll never guess what it’s all about until the last minute ho ho ho ho ho…So I’ll give this movie 7.3 stars out of 10.

The Story:
A man (James Caviezel) wakes up groggily in a “strange” place. He has no recollection as to how he got there in the first place and what happened. He has flashes of memory, though they’re unclear. He realizes that there are 4 other men in the same place and a bloody shovel nearby. One man (Joe Pantoliano) is tied up on a chair, another man (Jeremy Sisto) is handcuffed to a railing high up, another one (Greg Kinnear) is lying face down on the floor and next to him there’s a broken mobile phone, and the last one (Barry Pepper) comes out from the second floor.
The first man (James Caviezel) tries to find a way out, but everything is locked and all the windows have bars on them. As all the men start to gain consciousness, they begin to be suspicious of one another. Who are they? They don’t remember well, but in the end they decide to find ways out of that place together (except the handcuffed guy).
In another part of the city, a woman named Mrs. Eliza Coles (Bridget Moynahan) prepares herself to go and drop some ransom money in a post office. Apparently her husband has been kidnapped from his office and the kidnapper asked for some money.
I bet now you can guess that one of the men is Mrs. Coles’ husband, but which one is he? And why are all the five men having trouble remembering? Who are the bad guys (if there are more than one) and who are the good guys? What will happen in the end? Who will die and who stays alive?
Expect some twists and surprises at the end of the movie as you’re taken back to the past, prior to the first scene of the story.
