Spoiler: Screamers The Hunting
We’re still in the middle of our busy life since we have to move to our new apartment on Sunday, so let me just write this spoiler today.
Anyways, for those of you who don’t want to read this post, just curious what are you going to do on Valentine’s Day? Any special plans?
Me? Since Valentine comes on a Saturday, we’ll be going to my MIL’s place as usual to spend a relaxing day there. Maybe I’ll buy her some flowers, since Valentine’s Day here in Finland is actually called “Ystävänpäivä” or if translated literally, it means “Friendship Day”.
Okay…stop reading if you don’t like spoilers, okay?
If you haven’t read the synopsis yet, click here.

In the beginning of the mission, the rescue team loses one team member named …. Then they find the factory where the Screamers are built. The Screamers are inert at that time, but then Commander Andy Sexton (Greg Byrk) “wakes one up” since he wants to download their info to sell on Earth. He thinks that this type of info will be priceless. He does this without the knowledge of the rest of the team.
Anyway, after the team go back to the survivors’ hiding place to get fuel cells, Bronte (Gina Holden) wanders around the area and finds three humans who’re held hostage by the survivors. Feeling pity, she tells the rest of the team that they should rescue those humans. After they rescue them, turns out they’re Screamers. Rafe Danielli (Christopher Redman) is killed after trying to rescue them. Soon after this incident, the Screamers start barging into their hiding place, so they have to run away.
While on the run, Bronte (Gina Holden) and the leader of the survivors, Guy (Stephen Amell) are attracted to each other right away, so they sleep together. You’ll learn that Bronte is actually Colonel Joseph Hendrickson ’s daughter (it’s so easy to guess this fact). Meanwhile, Hannah (Holly O’Brien) is jealous. She tries to warn Bronte that Guy is different from them, that he never sleeps. Hannah then holds a knife underneath Guy’s neck to prove her point, but Commander Andy Sexton shots her since he thinks that she’s the Screamer who’s developed itself into human. Thus Hannah dies.
Still while on the run, Schwartz (Janna Pallaske) gets killed by a Screamer and then someone comes to rescue them. That person is Orsow (Lance Henriksen). He knows Colonel Joseph Hendrickson well and he tells Bronte that if Colonel Joseph Hendrickson did explode the spaceship he was on upon entering Earth, there must’ve been a good reason for it and the only reason he could think of is that a Screamer had gotten into the ship. This info brings comfort for Bronte, who doesn’t believe that her Dad has killed himself.
Another surprising thing (I didn’t watch the first sequel, remember?) is that Orsow is actually the one who designed the Screamers. Orsow and Commander Andy Sexton get into a fight since Andy finds out that Orsow actually has some fuel cells for them to use for the spaceship to go back to Earth. Andy manages to kill Orsow, whereas he himself is killed by “Danielli” who’s been inhabited by the Screamer. By now the Screamers’ ability to evolve is getting faster and more sophisticated than ever. So Andy is killed by “Danielli/Screamer”.
By now there are only two survivors left: Bronte and Guy. They go back to the spaceship with the fuel cells from Orsow’s hiding place and they set the course to Earth right on time (before the storm strikes). While waiting to return to Earth, they have to get into cryo sleep for 2 months.
Two months later, Bronte wakes up nauseous. Turns out she’s pregnant, but the belly looks WAY too big for a 2-month-pregnancy. She begins to worry that something is wrong. Guy holds her from behind and whispers in her ear, “He’s our first. And there won’t be anyone like him. Ever.”
The shocked Bronte turns around, looks into Guy’s eyes (they’ve gone completely black by now without any white parts), hits him over and over again and screams, “No! No! No! No! No!”
Then the camera zooms out as the spaceship comes closer to Earth…The End.
